The cast is off!

Yay...I can finally wash my whole face! It makes me feel so happy!
It does feel great to get all the tape removed from the nose, but unfortunately it does swell up quite a bit once the cast is removed. All that pressure that was held up by the cast seems to just spread all over on the sides of the nose. It's pretty frustrating. I was hoping to start being able to run some errands, but my whole face still doesn't look great. The bruising under my eyes is still there, my nose is pretty swollen, and the columella incision looks pretty angry. My doc said he doesn't even take the "after" photos until the 4 month check up, because things change so much over the next few months. Overall I can already see the difference, and I'm pretty happy...I just can't wait for the swelling to go down and the feeling to come back.
In the mean time, I'm only driving kiddos to and from school. They have been so understanding trying to help out in any way they can. And my hubby has been a great care taker!

So I finally go enough courage to get a tip...

So I finally go enough courage to get a tip rhinoplasty. I thought about if for a long time, but was always too afraid to do it. I'm pretty petite, with small face and I felt like my nose was too big for my face. I didn't want a huge change, just a smaller tip so that my other facial features would stand out more.

I had my surgery on Monday. My doc didn't think that I would bruise much, but unfortunately I did. I feel like my whole face is swollen, and I have big bags under my eyes that seem to be filled with blood. My face feels pretty warm to the touch. I think the worst pain on the day of surgery and 1 day after was between my eyebrows. Today, I feel that I have more pain under my nose where the incision is.
I have been having a hard time sleeping do to the soar throat and dryness. I do have a very high tolerance for pain, but I must admit that this is harder than I thought it would be. Hopefully it's all worth it!
