Well, where do I start? Lets go way back!
Being in an industry where we constantly judged on our appearance, I have always wanted to fix my ‘Un Symetrical’ nose. I hated taking photos or even just talking to people, it had a negative affect on my confidence, so a few years back I decided it was time to do something about it.
I had a consultation with a Sydney doctor about having a Rhionoplasty. It was brief and I didn’t have any idea of what I would be expecting afterwards. Except that I would feel uncomfortable and I would be bruised afterwards. I left feeling a little overwhelmed and not excited about having a transformation that I have waited so long for.
A few months later after researching thoroughly online I discovered Dr Michael Zacharia. I had a look at his website, before and after shots and reviews and decided I wanted to see him for a consultation.
At the consultation Dr Zacharia made me feel comfortable, confident and eager to get this done! I walked away with an appointment and before and after print out of my nose that I would stare at EVERY day till my surgery date. I couldn’t wait.
After surgery I didn’t feel as bad as I thought I would. Nurses rang me the next day to check up on me and throughout the 10 days my splint was on, they were very caring.
They 10 days were finally over! Thank god! I wanted to see my new nose.
WOW even I was shocked at how perfect, small and straight it looked I couldn’t stop looking at it. I was over the moon.
As the time passed I started to notice my nose getting puffy, uneven and really soft. I started to panic so I went to see Dr Zacharia again to see what was going on… he explained that scar tissue had developed over the past year or so, its rare but it does happen and of course it happened to me ?
We tried to bring the scar tissue down with injections every 2 months or so just to avoid another surgery as I didn’t really want to go through it again but the injections didn’t seem to be making a difference… so surgery it was!
Again I had to prepare myself mentally but with someone like Dr Zacharia looking after me it mad the experience much easier. I had my nose re done again and its been the best decision I have ever made. Its perfect and I am so happy with it I feel confident and happy. Yes it was tough and time consuming and mentally draining but I would do it all over again if I had to.
Dr Michael Zacharia is exceptional at his work and I would highly recommend him to anyone as I already have. His staff and nurses are professional and always do their best to make you feel comfortable.
