Finally Doing It After Wanting It Done Since I Was 13 - Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK

My proceedure is booked for this coming Saturday...

My proceedure is booked for this coming Saturday 29th March with Dr Chris Hill in Belfast. Been wanting to have this done from my early teens since I realised I inherited my dads nose!! Not Pretty!! I tried to forget about it over the years and dodged many side profile pics but nowymy wedding day is approaching all the anxieties that I use to have have all came back..... only worse!! I am worrird I have left it too late but feel if I don't do it I will reget it anyway...... So fingers crossed for my closed rhinoplasty on Sat

Tomorrow is the big day Beyond nervous

This time tomorrow I will have the op all over and done with (hopefully) beyond nervous but more nervous for the outcome..... gonna be a long ten days

Done and Dusted

so far so good

Morning After

I had a great night sleep. Slept with the door open wide and propped up on two pillows, took two pain killers at 10pm last night and haven't needed any since. Had one minor nose bleed so far but that is to be expected. Oh and no extra swelling this morning and zero bruising so far

Day 5 Recovery

I am pretty surprised at how painless this has been. I haven't experienced any pain since having the proceedure done. It is however uncomfortable but we can deal with that. Breathing through both nostrils again. Cast off on Tuesday I am so nervous to see the outcome. Praying that it is a success

Cast off today :)

Today was cast off day! I was beyond nervous for this day. Tears tripped fown my face as the nurse took off the plaster etc. She assured me that most people are more nervous about cast off day than op day and I do not doubt her for a second.

She cleaned my face, which was and is pretty sore from where the plasters where, then handed me the mirror to look in I was beyond nervous. I burst into tears when I saw the result - tears of joy that is!! Like everyone is (I am sure) I am still pretty swollen but as of now I am delighted with the result. No more hump!!! :) My surgeon did exactly what he said he would do in my closed rhinoplasty "sympathetically done" even now my nose looks normal and not over done.

Overall my experience has been a great success and that is mainly down to the expertise of my surgeon and his great team. I am soooo glad I didn't back out!! Do I wish I had done this sooner? Of course but only if every detail about my experience in this past month was exactly the same!! I hope someone reading this in the future gets good advice / knowledge of Dr Chris Hill because I know the reviews online sure helped me on my journey

Cost

Consultation = £ 100
Proceedure = £3500
Good result = Worth every penny :)

Spoke too Soon

Four weeks post op!!! Since alot of swelling has reduced I have noticed the old hump was not reduced as much as it should have been. The result is better than what I had originally but it definitely could be better. Consultation on May 30th with my surgeon (first meeting with him since my op) It will be interesting to see what he thinks of outcome. So its back to feeling "not quite sure" for now
Dr Chris Hill

Will review again after I speak with him
