Immediately after surgery I had alot of swelling...

Immediately after surgery I had alot of swelling which subsided considerably over the next week. At two week mark, after cast removed, I have a slight up turn at tip and tip swelling.

I had rhinoplasty about two weeks ago and of course the tip is the most swollen. Can ice be used gently on the tip to reduce swelling and if so how long can I use it post operatively? Indefinitely? Thank you!!
Great review?

Bells, using ice to reduce swelling after surgery is generally only useful and recommended for the first 1-2 days after surgery. After that, it can hamper your healing process. For my patients, I generally prescribe massage of the nose two weeks after surgery in order to reduce swelling. You should speak to your surgeon about what is best for you. I hope this helps!
