During a consultation I have been told by a surgeon that I qualify for a full Tummy Tuck with a shorter scar. So more extensive than a mini Tummy Tuck where my belly button would be redone because loose skin be pulled from the top down but with a smaller incision than a usual TT. My fear is this may not remove all the loose skin I want and leave me with uneven bulges if the hip area loose skin is not taken along with fat removal if required? Im 49kg and 5ft 1 are my fears correct?
Hi. I never really thought of this. Im ok if my TT scar will have keloid because it can be hidden but how about my belly button? And if it becomes keloid, aside from laser, how can it be reduced? Im a keloid former.
Had my procedure 7 months ago, had a large muscle separation from my belly button and upwards but no separation below my belly button. The separation was repaired and also a small umbilical hernia. I started noticing right away that my upper abdomen was swollen, the surgeon said it was because of the stitches. I am now 7 Months post OP and still very swollen. Is this normal? My surgeon still says its swelling in my soft parts. Im now trying to loose weight in hopes that it will make it better
Im currently 6 months po and as of yesterday Im experiencing a stinging sensation just below my belly button on the right side of stomach. I feel it when I stand/sometimes walk and move my waist especially when I sit for a long period then eventually stand. Its very strange feeling that has just started. When I press down on that area the feeling subsides a bit. What do you recommend, is this normal?
I had a tummy tuck performed in June 2023 (almost 9 months post op) and I have noticed I have a rather large mass (almost the size of the palm of my hand) behind my belly button. It is firm, not painful, and I can move it all around my stomach. It is not protruding from the skin (so pics won't help) but very noticeable if you press on the stomach slightly. What could this possibly be?
Updated: Tummy tuck & BBL. - My belly button was not on the right side. She was too busy to get off the phone when she marked me and marked my line off-center. Never was my belly button to the right of my center. She has avoided me from the first office visit after surgery when I asked about it. Beware of doctors that blame the patient. .
I had a tummy tuck and some lipo work done in March of 07. Before the surgery I could see my belly button. Presently, my belly button looks like puckered lips, and I am unable to see it. I would like to know if that will change over time? I would also like to know if there is anything that I could do about the appearance of my belly button?I am happy with the results of the surgery but expected my belly button to look better. I really do not like it. It looks like I had something done.
