I cry every time i see my nose, what should i do?I'm just 18 year old. I looked at the nose huggie. I thought that if i squeeze my nose it will become smaller & sharper. i did it for 40 minuts but with a hair clip, because it's kind of like the nose huggie. I've noticed that my nose became bigger and wider. this is my 2nd day. Did I damage my nose? Is it gonna return back?
Answer: Nose huggie and nose clips and actual #rhinoplasty HiTake a step back. Take a deep breath. You are ok. You have not done any damage with nose devices or clips if you only used it twice for 40 minutes but STOP using these. They do not work and in the long term can damage the nose. Now as far as your nose, there is no point in crying about a nose. There are plenty of people with horrific diseases and disfigurements who live happy fulfilling lives. Don't let a nose get you down. But do some research. Talk to your parents. Be mature about your discussion and get them involved and make sure they can support you. See a few GOOD ETHICAL plastic surgeons who only specialize in noses and rhinoplasty and see what they would recommend. If your parents are not supportive, wait. Focus on school and sports and other more important things and you can still get a better nose and have an actual rhinoplasty when you are older.

Answer: Squeezing your nose for two consecutive days did not likely cause a permanent change in its appearance. Compressive nasal devices that claim to alter the appearance of your nose do not work for achieving a permanent change in your nasal appearance. In that regard, it is unlikely that manipulating your nose for two consecutive days caused any permanent damage - likely just temporary swelling. Hope this helps. Dr. Joseph

Answer: Squeezing the nose to make it smaller Squeezing the nose in an attempt to make it smaller is not recommended. This could cause injury to the external or internal structure of the nose. There are several different ways to change the nose shape, with both surgical and non-surgical options available. These are not things to try at home. See a rhinoplasty expert such as a facial plastic surgeon to see what options are available. All the best,

Answer: Nose Huggie Hi there many thanks for you questions. It's very unlikely you have done any permanent damage to your nose as a result of this however I would strongly recommend not trying to do anything like this at home especially using household utensils! If you have any major issues with your nose shape please do consult an aesthetic expert to discuss your options.

Answer: Does pressure on the nose make it smaller? You probably irritated the skin and bruised the tissues underneath. More than likely no damage was done but using the huggie or a clothespin will not make the cartilages change shape. Your ear is made up of cartilage as well. Try holding the top of your nose down a few minutes, when you let go, it will go back to where you started. I would visit a plastic surgeon and get a realistic idea of what can be done to your nose and how much it will cost so you can start to save for the nose you want. I hope that helps!
