I have found that laser lipolysis such as Smart Lipo is only effective in treating very small volumes of fat and inconsistent with skin tightening. Both procedures in good hands will product excellent results. Currently there are only a few locations were you can have the SmartLipo MPX done. The SmartLipo MPX is a newer version of SmartLipo that breaks apart fat much more efficiently than the older machines. I have been involved with all three machines and the Vaser and SmarLipo MPX are the only two that are really comparable Even with this new MPX technology, which continues to advance every few months, an experienced physician with the Vaser can still get rid of more fat if given the same amount of time. In the next six months this will like change with some new developments for the SmartLipo MPX. That being said, first and foremost go with the most experienced provider. You want the one that has the best results and lowest side effects. After those questions are answered then consider Vaser vs. SmartLipo MPX.

Dear Keishat, I can understand your concern about a tummy tuck procedure. That being said, no procedure is a "substitute" for another. If you have a certain look or goal in mind and a tummy tuck is what you need, SmartLipo/VASER/etc... is not going to be able to duplicate that result. That being said, to lose significant inches around your area of concern, SmartLipo, VASER, traditional lipo, tumescent lipo, etc... all of these can give you a satisfactory result. More importantly than the technology is the surgeon as again, you can get good results with any number of procedures. I hope this helps! Good luck.
