A: Compression is good
I generally have my patients wear their garment for the first 2 weeks after surgery. Then I ask them to shop for some tight undergarments that will provide additional compression for another 4 weeks. A: Smartlipo garment
Smartlipo is no different from any other lipo in terms of post-op care. The garment is usually recommended to be worn for 3-6 weeks. You then can change over to a less compressive garment if you prefer.

You should wear a compression garment for 2 weeks after your surgery. Some patients choose to wear it longer because they are less swollen and more comfortable with compression. Depending on how much you had removed, you may be safe going into Spanx after you are done draining and at one week post op. Try it after one week. If you feel better in the garment stay in the garment. If Spanx seem like enough compression, move into Spanx.
