Rhinophyma

Rhinophyma is a condition which is typically associated with Acne Rosacea. The causes are unknown. It is manifested by a red (vascular) nose with a bumpy appearance due to sebaceous (oil) gland overgrowth. Certain foods can make it seem worse. It has been mistakenly attributed to alcohol consumption but this is a fallacy. However, alcohol consumption only makes the nose appear more red due to a temporary increase in blood supply. 36 year old male Here's how I'm treating my rhinophyma when I first discovered it (cheaply I might add) Chemical peel the affected area of the nose - Aim for triangular shape Every 3-4 days 20% Salycilic Acid - 2 mins 30% Salycilic Acid - 2 mins 70% Glycolic Acid - 2 mins (get this if the salicylic acid is taking too long to burn down the skin) Neutralize and moisturize with JoJoba Oil
