Does Getting a Nose Job, Drastically Change Your Face?

There are a number of reasons why people look better after rhinoplasty. Of course a smaller nose fits better but it also distracts less and others see the rest of your face. A professor of mine used to say "the sign of a good nosejob is in the eyes."

I would not focus on being a 7, 8, 9, or 10 on an attractiveness scale. That is extremely subjective and not worth your time, as you will never be happy with the outcome. Rhinoplasty is my favorite operation because it can have such a profound impact on a person's self esteem and confidence, and is a very artistic operation. It is the pinnacle of plastic surgery. A great rhinoplasty leaves you with the nose that fits your face and you feel like you were meant to have all along. it doesn't leave you with a weird looking nose or something unnatural. it does not physically affect the size of your lips, cheeks, or anything else, though if you feel that your nose is something that draws unusual attention, getting a rhinoplasty and creating a nose that fits your face and doesn't draw attention to it may relatively speaking bring out your eyes or other features of your face that others weren't noticing before if they were focusing on your nose. But again, try to remember that everyone is different and that is what makes facial features so fascinating. A rhinoplasty should make your version of you feel great and look great, but you're not going to necessarily look like someone else, nor should you try to.

The nose is the most central and prominent feature on the face; however it should not be the first feature that attracts an onlooker's attention. Ideally, the eyes and smile are noticed first. If your nose is overly prominent or no in balance with the face, it can detract attention from the rest of your face. A nose job helps put your face into harmony, allowing your natural beauty to shine through. A well-performed rhinoplasty can easily take someone from “7” to “9” or “10,” but this will vary by individual. I hope this helps.
