Light spot on my tattoo after 2nd treatment. Any suggestions? (photos)

Although hyperpigmentation can occur after any laster tattoo removal, the PicoSure laser has a lower risk for this. It's currently the best laser on the market working 3x faster than all other lasers. It's also ideal for all skin types and tattoo colors. I would try to find a practitioner that has the PicoSure device. I think it would be a better fit for your tattoo.

I was struck by the bright blue/aqua ink of your tattoo - assuming the colour has not been distorted by the photography my feeling is that this tattoo will not respond well to either laser you have tried. The new PicoSure picosecond 755nm (not 755 nanosecond) is the right laser for you. The presence of scabbing and blistering suggests that your treatment settings may have been a bit aggressive but it's really too early to be concerned about hypopigmentation, which often resolves over time anyway. Of more importance is the choice of the correct laser system for your tattoo and our experience shows that this colour responds rapidly and reliably with a the PicoSure used in an experienced medical laser practice.

Hypopigmentation can occur after any treatment and with any laser. In most cases this will improve with time. Try to avoid being tan for you treatments and if you notice any blistering do not open or pick them. Be well, Dr. M
