My mouth is lopsided and only smiles on one side after Juvadem injections. I see a lot of women on this site who have the same or similar issue and all-including myself-have had their Dr. say the same thing: it couldn't have been anything we've done, we've never seen this before. Why can't the Dr. admit their might have been something amiss in their technique?
Answer: Asymmetry after #Juvaderm I would love to see photos! Immediately after injections, you can have a palsy because of lidocaine's effects on the nerve (much like what can happen at the dentist's office), but if this was present still after 90 minutes, mit may be that the filler is weighing down one side. If you are not satisfied with your doctor's explanation, you might call him/her one more time expressing your disatisfaction, and then seek another opinion if you don't receive and adequate response. There likely is much that can be done to improve your appearance.I wish you all the best and trust that you will ultimately be happy with the appropriate care.Dr. Clark

CONTACT NOW Answer: After lip injections it is likely to feel the effects of the lidocaine (freezing) in the product. After lip injections it is likely to feel the effects of the lidocaine (freezing) in the product. Lidocaine is only temporary and should subside within a few hours after treatment. If you are within a few weeks after the injection, swelling may still be an issue creating some asymmetry when smiling. Also, if you had a Botox treatment at the same time the Botox could have migrated into the lip causing you this problem.Seek an expert opinion and inquire about corrective treatment.

Answer: Asymmetry after Juvederm injection Obtaining outstanding results with injections takes a great deal of skill and judgment. Asymmetry can occur on account of swelling, product volume, placement, and a host of other reasons. If you do not feel your doctor is addressing your questions or needs, I would recommend seeking another opinion from a highly skilled and knowledgeable physician.

Answer: Asymmetric smile after Juvederm - seek another opinion It really depends on your exam as to what is the problem. Is the problem at rest or with movement or both? Was Botox done at same time? My guess is the the Botox migrated from the cheek area to the zygomaticus, possibly related to the filler in the area or possibly not. In any event, seek another opinion.
