How Many Inches is Typical to Lose with Smart Lipo in the Stomach Area?

Im having smart lipo done in a week. But im second guessing my decision. I'm wondering how many inches is "typical" to lose in the stomach area from the procedure. I want to make sure the procedure will have the results Im looking for. I know it wont get rid of all my loose skin, but I would like to know about how much will be gone.

Liposuction is all about contouring

Most people will lose at least one size, but it is very variable depending on the individual. For instance if there is more fat superficially, it will be easily accessible. Fat deep to the muscle will remain. Skin tightening can occur to a limited extent with the smartlipo laser. If there is a large amount of loose skin, an abdomenoplasty or tummy tuck might be the better option.

SmartLipo in inches

You will lose inches with the Smartlipo procedure, but it is hard to say for each individual. Of course this depends on how much fat already exists, your skin elasticity, etc. Ask your surgeon, for they will be able to give you a better idea of what to expect.

Measure Success by Contour

When we perform Smart Lipo on the abdomen generally we do not measure success by inches lost, but rather by contour improvement. My main concern would be if Smart Lipo is the procedure for you if in that you have loose skin. Smart Lipo has been shown to tighten skin in clinical studies, however, the actual skin contraction effect has been subtle in my practice.
