I feel this is the main thing about my nose that I want to change, but its a pretty big bone and I haven't seen many before/after examples of thinning the outer bridge. I provided an example photo to achieve a better understanding of what part I'm referring to, its the outer sides and outermost bottom part of the bridge that i'd like to have slimmed but since it's a thin bone I'm not too sure if it can be shaved off enough.
Answer: It is possible to slim the outer nasal bridge Slimming the outer nasal bridge is accomplished with osteotomies placed in the nasal bones to narrow them. Any dorsal hump is also shaved down at the same time. It is also important to make sure the tip balances with your new bridge line. For many examples please see the link and video below

Answer: Is it possible to slim the outer nose bridge? It is definitely possible to narrow the bridge of the nose, which is composed of bone (upper 1/3) and cartilage (middle 1/3). Specific maneuvers are used to shape the cartilage and manipulate the bones to create a slim, narrow appearance. I recommend consulting with a Board-Certified plastic surgeon who will thoroughly examine your nose, create a simulation based on what your nose COULD look like, and develop a plan according to your needs and wishes. Good luck!

Answer: Nasal Bridge Reduction Hi Shiny. Reduction of the nasal bridge if a feasible rhinoplasty maneuver. Generally speaking, this may involve osteotomies (to narrow the nose) and/or rasping (to further reduce, or "file down" the structure). Select a surgeon whom you feel comfortable with, one who is able to show you multiple before and after photos of patients with concerns similar to yours.Hope this is helpful. Best wishes.

Answer: Rhinoplasty question What you are referring to in the example photo relates to the base of the nasal bones. This is a common finding in many patients seeking rhinoplasty surgery. Often, there are dorsal contour concerns that are addressed simultaneously.Generally, this widened area is treated with nasal bone osteotomies and may require narrowing of the upper lateral cartilages.

Answer: Thinning nasal bridge The nasal bridge is typically thinned by bringing in the nasal bones; this is done with a controlled incision in the nasal bones called an osteotomy. A nasal hump is typically shaved and smoothed at the same time. Patients with particularly low nasal bridges gain the appearance of a narrower bridge by augmenting or raising the bridge, though I don't think this applies in your case. In my opinion, you would also benefit from a small amount of added definition in your tip and supra-tip, or area just above the nostrils. Start by scheduling an in-person consultation and exam with a general plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon who practices rhinoplasty extensively. Such a consultation will allow you to discuss your concerns, develop a treatment plan, and view your surgeon's before and after photos. Good luck!
