I have a crooked nose which I have been consulting several surgeons for rhinoplasty. Some surgeons have told me I have a crooked face - crooked chin and asymmetrical eyes. But some have told me this can all be corrected with the rhinoplasty. Before I go into a serious procedure like this, will rhinoplasty make my facial asymmetry NORMAL? And is it possible to make my crooked nose straight? I have a deviated septum but I don't think I broke it.
Answer: Rhinoplasty for crooked noseA 2 The crooked nose can be straightened with rhinoplasty. Closed rhinoplasty approach can address straightening the nasal bones, mid-bridge, and the tip. Everyone has some degree of facial asymmetry, and performing a rhinoplasty procedure will help straighten the nose but not an asymmetrical face.

Answer: Rhinoplasty What you want done is completely up to you, the best thing to do is to go for consultations and ask the doctor if they can do all of this.Rhinoplasty typically starts at $5,500 depending on the area you live. To make sure you get the best possible result, the surgeon should perform a detailed exam of the nose and provide a realistic goal that you and your surgeon agree upon. Rhinoplasty are permanent, but with age facial features do change. Find a surgeon and go for a consult, I think you would be very happy after the surger

Answer: Facial Asymmetry Thanks for your question Shay. I can see what you're talking about from your picture, but diagnosis isn't possible to do over the internet with just a couple of pictures. The rhinoplasty can straighten your nose in the right hands. It looks like your nose is deviated to the right, and I assume your septum is internally deviated to the left. It looks like your chin is deviated to the left. What would be helpful is an examination of your occlusion to see how your teeth fit together. You may have normal occlusion with a chin asymmetry, or your entire bite may be off. You should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon who does a lot of rhinoplasty and jaw surgery; you may need to speak with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who does jaw surgery about your chin if your entire bit is involved. I know that's a lot to take in. Good luck!

Answer: Rhinoplasty question Based on your limited photos, you indeed appear to have some bony asymmetry of the facial skeleton. Actually, this is quite common and most people have some asymmetries if critically examined. There are two ways to approach skeletal asymmetry. One is to correct the bony skeleton and the other is to camouflage at the soft tissue level.Straightening your face would require upper and lower jaw surgery, which is quite involved and would probably require some orthodontic treatment as well.A rhinoplasty procedure could be performed and the lower face could be treated with fat or fillers with more volume placed on the left side to create a more symmetrical appearance. An asymmetrical genioplasty would be an option to more closely align the mid facial plane. A genioplasty would move the chin bone only and would not change your bite or require any orthodontic treatment.

Answer: Crooked nose/crooked face The answer to your question is no. A rhinoplasty alone will not correct overall facial asymmetry. From the pictures you shared, you have deviation of your chin point to the left, and deviation of your nose to the right. A rhinoplasty will correct one of those problems, but not both. The addition of a genioplasty (moving your chin bone) will be able to fix this; it is not uncommon for a rhinoplasty and genioplasty to be performed at the same time for this reason...your problem is not uncommon. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who has experience with both nose and chin surgery and allow them to guide you to the right procedure or combination of procedures.
