Is 421 Cc Enough Achieve D Cup?

I am a 36 year old female and breast fed all three of my children. I am a small A cup and want to be at least a small D cup. Would 421 cc of silicone breast implants be enough? Also, which is better moderate profile or high profile?

What size implant would give me the size I want?

Hi there- One of the things I find most interesting is the amount of misinformation the average patient must sift through when researching breast augmentation surgery. In particular, I think that many patients become overwhelmed with implant choices and the abundance of information about these options available on the Web. This is complicated once they contact a surgeon or two for information about the implants, and which is most likely to give them the result they desire. Somewhere... more

Breast implants

This would be a great question for your surgeon. If you don't have a surgeon yet go on a few consultations with board certified plastic surgeons and they should be able to help you decide on a size.

Breast implant size

It is very important to communicate your size goals with your surgeon. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “C cup” or "fake looking" means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired... more

Schedule a consultation to choose the correct breast implant size.

Size is a complex decision that is not only based upon your height, weight and current cup/bra size but ALSO on also on your breast diameter, waist, shoulder, and skin envelope measurements. These can only be assessed in person during a consultation. see video

Is 421 cc enough? breast augmentation

When women come to me for breast augmentation, they often have been thinking about what they want - which is good.  But unfortunately, they get caught up in the details - like the number of cc's - which can certainly be confusing. Overall, it's more helpful to think about proportions, rather than implant volumes. At a consultation, we talk about the shape you want, and about how your body frame and proportions influences the selection of the implant.  A 421 cc... more

Choosing the correct implants

Wiithout formally examining you, it would be difficult to tell which breast implant size is right for you. Furthermore, a specific volume implant may not achieve the specific cup size you desire because bra companies are all different.  Without examining you, I would say you probably are close.

Choosing the correct implant to achieve a D cup

Hi, Without examining you, taking measurements of your breasts and chest wall, and examining the quality of your breast skin and breast supporting ligaments, it's simply impossible to answer your question. The chest wall diameter, breast width and height are all important factors in selecting an appropriate implant. The breast skin envelope is only so large; selecting an implant that is too large invariably means that implant will sit too high, too low, or too lateral. If a patient has a... more

Cup size not just a matter of implant size

If only it were that simple! The thing is, we are stuck with a cup size system that was developed as a way to determine bra size without directly measuring the breasts. So cup size depends as much on the size of the chest as much as the volume of the breasts. For these reasons, there is no magic number or implant type for a certain cup size. What we do here is have the patients try samples on in a bra of the size they want. Once we know the size, then we match the volume to the base... more
