I had a chin implant done in July and have expereince chin acne since. I have never had acne on my chin before. It consistently gets worse every month. Could this be an allergic reqaction to my silicon implant?

Not only is orthognathic surgery expensive it is quite the recovery. I have done these procedures and can tell you that they are pretty invasive. Chin implant would be much easier to recover from and the results may give you something that you will rethink doing the jaw surgery.

Although both approaches are acceptable, there is greater chance of infection and injury to the chin muscles using the intraoral approach. I prefer the external incision. It is about a one inch incision placed near the chin crease and in most barely perceptible once healing has taken place.
