Am I a good candidate for rhinoplasty and will my aspirations be achieved? (photo)

Hello, I am a male, and I have been wanting a nose job since forever... I am really looking to get a small nose like an actress Han Ga In, I don't know if I am allowed to post links, but i'd like to have her nose. So I am just wondering if it'd be possible, thank you.

What is the right nose for your face?

Thank you for the post and your photo. I agree with what the others have said -- the key thing to determine is what size and shape of nose will be most appropriate for your face. Examining your picture, it looks like some improvement could be made in terms of the bulbous tip and wide base. However, making the nose very small or very short can have negative consequences for overall facial harmony and your breathing. In my opinion, you should seek 2 or 3 consultations with board certified experts before deciding on a rhinoplasty. Take care.

From a technical perspective many things can be done, but the question is will you be happy with a certain dimension of nose on your face.

Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of rhinoplasties and rhinoplasty revisions each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results.

While Han Ga In's nose fits her face well, it may not be ideal for all types of faces. The best recommendation is to consult with a board certified specialist who can help you achieve the results you seek. 3d computer imaging will also help you visualize what may look best with your face.

Certainly your nose would be able to be more refined, but your nose should fit your face. It's not possible to give you a specific celebrities' nose for a variety of reasons. They may have different skin thickness, bony and/or cartilagenous framework, and overall facial shape. Also, a rhinoplasty result should be gender appropriate given that there are different aesthetic norms for the male versus female nose. Your best bet would be to consult with a rhinoplasty surgeon and have computer imaging done to determine what is achievable for you. Best of luck.

Nasal tip refinement in a young Asian male.

The kid can be refined but your nose is short already. The nose has to be in proportion to the rest of your facial features so making your nose like hers would create an imbalance. A more conservative change will make you look better.

Achieving personalized and individual results in rhinoplasty

For a male, Han Ga In's nose is far too rotated and short. It is certainly possible to create greater refinement and reduce the size of your nose, but in a way that complements your face instead of detracting from it. Her nose works in harmony with her other facial features, but would stand out in a negative way on your face.
