Breast reduction is a common procedure, and the great majority of my patients have breast reduction as an out-patient procedure. The option for an overnight stay is available, but rarely needed. Occasionally, there are patients that have possibly unstable medical conditions that are the reason for hospital stay and monitoring, but not the surgery itself. Your board-certified surgeon should be consulted.
