It is very normal to have intermittent swelling after blepharoplasty, especially after lying down at night. If you had a prior blepharoplasty in the same eye and are having a small revision it may take longer for the swelling to go away compared to the first time. Generally it takes 2-3 weeks for 90% of the swelling to go away. It will really take a month or longer before you can judge your result. You should make sure it is not painful, warm, or red which combined with swelling could be signs of infection. Icing your eyes and sleeping with your head elevated will help, but time is the best remedy.
