Hyaluronidase is usually the best antidote for poor Juvederm results

Robert Singer, MD answers: Puffy eyes after Juvederm injections in under eye hollows

I had Juvederm injected below my eyes to fill in hollows, and now I have pillows instead. It looks horrible. My doctor said that only surgery would fix this and he stated I should have had eyelid surgery all along. He suggested I initially try the injection because I cannot afford surgery right now.

Surgery cannot reverse the outcomes that resulted from the injection of Juvederm you were given. A hyaluronic acid dermal filler, like Juvederm, does have an “antidote” called hyaluronidase to help your results diminish in days, rather than the 6 to 12 months that these fillers typically last.

However, surgery may be the most appropriate answer to correct the conditions in your lower eye region that you describe. While in many cases injections can mimic, enhance, or complement surgery, they are never a replacement for surgery. Communicate frankly with your doctor, including your budget.

Rather than a quick fix, you may have to wait a little longer and save accordingly. You may choose to shop for bargains on shoes and clothes, but it is not wise to do that on plastic surgery. It is the only face and body that you have.
