Brow lift recovery

Robert W. Kessler, MD answers: How long is the recovery from Brow Lift?

I am getting a Brow lift in 2 weeks and I am wondering how long the recovery is?

How much pain will I be in after the procedure and how safe is it?

Although there is some difference in recovery time based on the surgical technique, the pain post operatively is more like a headache than true surgical pain. this means less narcotics and generally a very rapid recovery in terms of how you feel. Most people are ready for a return to work by 1 week.

Different techniques will have different levels of swelling and bruising. Under eye bruising can last 10 days to 2 weeks but can easily be covered with mineral based makeup. Swelling can last 1-3 weeks but the degree which is noticeable by your peers is usually only 7-10 days.

Good luck
