Dysport units are different than Botox units

Steven F. Weiner, MD answers: Will Dysport be just $4/unit everywhere?

I saw an office advertising Dysport for $4/unit - they said treatment for glabellar lines will be just $200! Is this too good to be true?

Dysport recommends 50 units for treating the glabellar frown lines in most people. My experience shows that this can be up to 70 units. At $4 per unit, that makes it from $200-$280 for treating the frown lines, which is less expensive than Botox. In my experience, Dysport seems to work as well or maybe even better than Botox. It kicks in sooner and may last longer. With competition, Botox is giving rebates, which is good for the you, if you want to stick with your tried and true buddy Botox.
