Minimal Cash + Minimal Time = Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Procedure

Minimal Cash + Minimal Time = Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Procedure

Miami plastic surgeon Carlos Wolf, MD has outlined some innovative cosmetic surgery ideas for the Miami Herald that fit the current trend - cultivating the virtue of thrift. Minimal vacation time and spending cash usually make major aesthetic improvements like surgery impractical, to say the least.

In his Q&A column, Dr. Wolf says the wrinkle paralyzer and neurotoxin, Botox, is "used off label for virtually any wrinkle." To augment a Botox procedure, many people opt for dermal wrinkle fillers like Restylane, Sculptra, Radiesse, or Juvederm, which increase volume to reduce or erase the appearance of wrinkles and folds.

Wrinkle reduction procedures like Thermage, Fraxel or microdermabrasion can quickly improve skin tone and help you tighten up, for a decent price most of the time. The best advice - "desperate times means desperate people," meaning you might want to avoid providers that are overly eager to operate, just for a buck.
