British Star Katie Price to Sell Enormous Breast Implants on Ebay
Real Beauty News on Oct 1, 2008

Katie Price paid a visit to a Los Angeles plastic surgeon last spring for work on her breast implants and teeth, and took the time to meet with reporter Ed Zuckerman of The New York Times, who then reported in September that the British celebrity may actually put her famous, larger than life breast implants on Ebay.

Price started her career as a topless model, posing for various European publications. She is now a British superstar with many lucrative endorsements propping her up from all sides. Price had some complaints about her fourth breast operation, a reduction from the large (32DD) chest that had made her a reality television star and highly successful model. Price complained that the surgeon hadn't sewn one side to her satisfaction. Either way, Price says it's time for breasts that are "smaller than my head" and so out they came, destined to make online auction history.

Being the New York Times, the story can't simply be left to fun and games. In a subtle manner, Zuckerman suggests that celebrities like Katie Price endorse a strange ideal. He cites alarming "evidence of a rise in cosmetic surgery, suggesting that young women increasingly view glamour modeling and pole dancing as attractive career options."

He also informs us that "there have been reports in the British media of hard-pressed mothers taking multiple jobs so they can afford breast implants for their teenage daughters who want to have careers like Price’s." If you're an American, this all sounds vaguely familiar. Perhaps children should not be raised by the media.

As soon as Price finds the proper display, her implants will grace the wonderfully tacky auction site eBay at a minimum bid of 1 million pounds.
