Fraxel Repair CO2 Laser Debuts in Canada
Victoria dermatologist Mark Lupin, MD likes the Fraxel Repair technology because it addresses "the full range of photodamage - wrinkles, lines, pigment, and vascular irregularities, all in a single treatment."
At a recent cosmetic surgery symposium in Whistler, British Columbia, Reliant Technologies debuted the Fraxel Laser repair system for use in Canada. Health Canada recently gave clearance to the company, allowing them to market their product within Canadian borders. Surgeons, cosmetic physicians and dermatologists can now purchase the laser for the treatment of sun damage, wrinkles, drooping skin, vascular dyschromia and various other skin imperfections.
Vancouver medical spa owner Dr. William McGillivray thinks the laser is "a major breakthrough for my patients who desire significant tissue tightening, wrinkle reduction, and improvement in skin quality."
