Dallas Doctors Find Creative Uses For Radiesse, Restylane, Sculptra
Dallas injectables specialist Dr. Lynley McAnalley says "we're just really at the tip of the iceberg on the variety of uses of fillers." A recent article by the Dallas Morning News suggests that dermal fillers offer many more possibilities for anti-aging than originally thought.
The Dallas Morning News reported on McAnalley and other Dallas physicians who use fillers like Restylane, Juvederm, and Radiesse to sometimes perform unconventional treatments, administering the injection to the earlobes, back of the hands, on feet, to hide scars and can even make certain areas of the face appear more symmetrical.
Dallas dermatologist Dr. Max Adler uses combination therapies like Portrait Plasma resurfacing with injectables to "fill in gaps that you can't do with a re-draping procedure like a facelift."
Administering the injection of a cosmetic filler is a delicate process nonetheless and can be more so in certain areas. In reference to hand injections, Dallas plastic surgeon Rod Rohrich says "it takes a lot more experience and expertise because you have to inject it deep and you have to be careful to avoid veins." When administered correctly, with equal treatment given to the face, these injections can provide a more balanced appearance with youthful attributes all around.
One of the other groundbreaking filler applications seen in McAnalley's office are the treatment of earlobes, making them appear "less floppy and flat", through a process of eliminating creases. This can aid in positioning of earrings.
The bottoms of the feet can be injected with a filler like Sculptra to increase cushioning that often wears away over time, making walking comfortable again. She says it will function like "an inside-the-foot Dr. Scholl's pad."
These innovative treatments are definitely getting people "pumped up" like never before.
