I got my moles on my cheek removed through electrodesiccation/ laser and it has been around 3 weeks since it was removed and the mole scabs were picked off, however, the indents/holes are still prominent, how do I fix this?
When I first got my stitches out, my mole looked great. It was flat and everything. A couple days later it looked like there was a bump growing and I wasn't sure if it was a pimple. I went to my surgeon and he said it did not look infected so to call back if I noticed more pain. Well it's been 5 days and now it is growing larger, raised, and purple? What is going on? I got two other moles removed that look completely normal so I am extremely nervous why this one looks different.
I had a mole removed by a dermatologist for cosmetic reasons via shaving. Bottom left picture shows the area immediately after removal; I was instructed to prevent scabbing of the area by all measures. After about 3 weeks since my mole's been removed it seems the wound hasn't made much progress (right photo). I'm tired of it looking like there's a cigarette burn on my face, yet feel like it's still a gaping wound and unsafe for makeup! When will it be safe to wear concealer and makeup over the area?thx!
I got a mole from my lower back shaved off about 3 weeks ago. I have been washing it regularly and using Neosporin and a band aid each day. However, there is a little redness around the open wound and the wound itself is whiter in color. I'm worried about the evenly spaced red dots in the wound. Is it infected?
I recently had a mole removed that was on my forehead it was slightly raised not very big but it was coloured. I had it removed via laser and the scab fell off two weeks later. There is no redness it is the same colour as my skin but it has left a dent in my skin. The plastic surgeon is very sure that he has left enough tissues behind for it to heal up but to me it doesn't look like it will heal anytime soon. It's been 3 weeks since the procedure, is it normal for there to be a dent in the skin?
I had a benign mole removed by punch biopsy from the sole of my foot three weeks ago, just below my 2nd and 3rd toes. The wound seems to have mostly healed, and the stitches are removed, however the top layer of skin has not fully healed over and I still have discomfort and the sensation of a small lump there when I walk with full pressure on hard surfaces. Is this normal healing?
