I want to go for an IPL for rosacea flushing, but I know people who have said that IPL made their flushing worse for a month after the treatment & broken capillaries worse. How is this possible? I also know it can treat flushing so Im confused!
I have rosacea that is getting progressively worse over the years and I am tired of wearing so much makeup to cover it up, it is also starting to feel like a bad sunburn on my face.I am currently using a Sodium Sulfacetamide 10% Sulfur 5% Cleanser and Metronidazole Topical Cream, I also use Eucerin Face cream with SPF 30. The texture of my chin and cheeks are getting bumpy
What treatments would you recommend? I was considering IPL and microneedling. I was diagnosed with rosacea 3 years ago and have struggled with accepting my appearance ever since. I suffer with redness and extreme blushing - but my biggest hate is the texture of my skin..my pores are so defined and there seems to be nothing I can do, not even makeup will improve it.
I had received ipl treatment for my eyes, optilight. They go over the cheeks and nose along with the eyelids. At the time my rosacea was usee control with a triple cream. Since the ipls my flare is centralizing in my nose. The doctor said it would go away and it hasnt. I dont know what to do. Is there anyone here that has seen this before? Im really concerned bc it burns. It happens mostly at night. I need to find a good dermatologist to help me. My dr has never seen this before. Thank you
I just began a series of six IPL treatments for redness and small visible vessels from rosacea. The nurse told me to come once per week, but most of what I've read on this site talks about 3 or 4 weeks between sessions. I had no pain, burning or swelling after my first treatment. Is there any harm in getting one treatment per week. Is this too often?
This is my first revision w/ rib and I would like to do all I can to prevent re-absorption. I'm very happy with my result and want this to be my last nose surgery. However, I also have pre-rosacea and IPL treatments have historically kept flushing and redness at bay. My face is starting to heat up again, so I'd love to know if or when it would be safe to get a IPL for rosacea maintenance? Thankyou sooo much for any information! P.s. I will also reach out to my surgeon.
