I have a preferred dentist, but the Groupon is such a good deal. I don't know if this is a gimmick or not, or if there's a way for the dentist to provide less comprehensive Invisalign service.
If you have decided to seek need dentistry or elective care, the most important criteria is to find a professional who can provide experience, care, concern and who you Trust. Never let price dictate how you approach your health. If such a dentist offers Groupon, then by all means, save the money. Good luck to you.
How long does invisalign take to work?
So many Invisalign cases are done in 4-6 months. Some will be 2-3 years. The majority are between 6 months to a year and a half, in my experience. Patients are always thrilled with the result and say they are so glad they did it!
The first week of Invisalign I had severe headaches with jaw pain. My Ortho suggested I should alternate them and double the wear time to 4 weeks so an average of only 8-10 hrs per aligner a day(top during day;bottom at night). I am concerned that this is not adequate time for movement and could damage my roots. Would it make better sense to correct the top and then the bottom later? If the next one fits do I assume enough movement has taken place?
If there is a sub-clincial myofascial pain (TMJ) problem, it would not be unusual to have your symptoms. I would recommend discontinuing the Invisalign and seek a definative diagnosis and therapy for the pain. Good luck.
