Best Non Invasive Liposuction for a Morbidly Obese Male?

Hi, I am 285lbs, 5' 10", male, 25 years old. I've exercised and tried diets, nothing seems to work. I was looking at various non invasive liposuction options, as I have to work round the clock on weekdays, and resting at home is not an option, and prefer non surgical or non invasive methods. What is the best and proven non invasive liposuction option available for me ? I have fat male breasts and 52" waistline, pot belly. Losing even 5" would be great. Advance thanks and regards,

A: Non-Invasive Liposuction for a 285 pound Man

I really hate to rain on your parade especially after the Patriots got schooled at the Super Bowl but I really need to. Respectfully, I think you nred to educate yourself further on what Liposuction is and what it can and cannot do.

At the present time, at 285 pounds / 70 inches tall you have a BMI of 41 qualifying you as morbidly obese. This is the obesity degree qualifying you for weight loss (Bariatric) surgery such as Lap Band and Roux en Y gastric bypass.  There is NO doubt that to preserve your health and joints you MUST lose weight BUT Liposuction is NOT the way. Liposuction cannot remove more than 10 pounds. With your lean body weight being 164 pounds, even a loss to 185 pounds (which would drop your BMI to 26.5) would require a loss of 100 pounds. Such a loss CANNOT be accomplished by ANY cosmetive invasive, much less, noninvasive procedure.

To lose such weight you need a bariatric operation OR you need to see a nutritionist and get on a diet which excludes carbohydrates and most fats combined with strenuous and regular exercise.

As regards "noninvasive" liposuction, that beast, like the unicorn, is a mythical invention which does not exist. Trying to melt fat from the outsidfe using ultrasound, freezing or ancient Hindu incantations rarely melt fat to a significant degree. Moreover, when people refer to Liposuction as "noninvasive" I always wonder  if Liposuction is not invasive, what would qualify as such?  Regardless of the small holes through which liposuction is carried out, the fat is removed by being stabbed hundreds of times by several size steel tubes under suction. How can a stabbing feast in a clean sterile enviroment be remotely described as "noninvasive"?

Good luck in your weight loss quest.

My PIP Implants are Sagging 7 Years Post Op, What Can Be Done To Make Them Perkier After Removal?

I've had my implants in for almost 7 years. I am 26 and never had children yet they have sagged alot and have dropped at least a few inches down my chest. I have gained maybe 5/10 pounds but surely that wouldn't make such a difference? Is this normal? Can I do anything about it without having an uplift? They are PIP implants so am having them out anyway, im just wondering if they are replaced will they still be so saggy and is there any chance of them perking up if they are removed? Thanks

A: Will I need Other Breast Implants after Removal of my PIP Breast Implants from my Sagging Breasts

Your breasts are sagging because your (PIP) breast implants were either too large, were placed over the chest wall muscle, you did not wear appropriate bras  or a combination of any or all of the above. Since our skin is nothing like rubber the mere removal of your old implants would certainly NOT result in an upward spring of your sagging breasts. Breast sagging is associated with elongation and breakage of the suspensory (Cooper's) breast ligaments which anchor the breast to the chest wall and with gradual expansion creating excess breast skin. Removing breast implants out of sagging breasts will often result in a sagging emptied "rock in a Sock" breast appearance.

In your case, I would suggest a breast implant exchange, with a well chosen breast implant and a Breast Lift to give you attractive perky breasts.

Good Luck.

Is It Ok for Post Op Review to Be Done by Another Surgeon?

I live out of province from where i'm traveling to have my rhinoplasty done (24 hour drive). Is it a big deal to have the surgery, drive home, and have another surgeon in my home town do my post op (take off cast, make sure everything's ok)? Gets very expensive otherwise.

A: Would my Hometown Plastic Surgeon take care of my after Cosmetic Surgery done Elsewhere?

In the age of Medical Tourism where people travel to all corners of the earth in search for Cosmetic Surgery deals your question is extremely relevant and worth discussing.

I seriously doubt that your hometown Plastic surgeon would enthusiastically accept taking care of you after Cosmetic Surgery done elsewhere.  No one likes to be passed over. If he was not good enough to perform your surgery, why would he be good enough to take up your aftercare? Worse yet, if your surgery encountered any complication, why would any local surgeon take a chance of being  sued by getting involved in your care?

Before you go elsewhere for your surgery consider who would care for you after surgery including if you suffered any complications. All of this must be discussed and agreed with your surgeon before you go to the operating room.
