I Am Becoming Very Concerned About Capsular Contracture. What Do You Think? (photo)

I am 46, 5'4", 118-123. Both 400cc-silicone gel-high profile-unders. Good size for me. From the get go I was high and tight as I had dense peck muscle tissue. I am now 10 months post op and my implants are still high and tight--especially the right. Am I developing capsular contracture? They have not and do not move about freely. I can barely squeeze them together and are hardish when laying on chest. Tips on softening them? Will strapping or laying on them help? Do you think I need surgery?

A: Exam needed..

As you can see from the answers, it is a toss up as to whether this is a pocket issue or capsular contracture. As others have noted, the only real way to tell is to have an exam by your plastic surgeon. I agree that surgery will be necessary to correct either issue. Good Luck!

Lift with Implants 5 Weeks Ago, When Will Swelling and Pressure Subside? (photo)

anchor lift with silicone implants. When should I expect the swelling and pressure when I lean forward, or begin more activities to subside. The left is still odd shaped and swells more than the right yet feels softer in general. I have seen my PS and he is looking at it. I was told to continue to wear my Compression sports bra, and I am. FYI I know it is early in recovery and that this is not my final result. pleased so far. Thank You for your time

A: Much better at 4-6 weeks...

The swelling and pressure will be much better at 4-6 weeks and will gradually improve. The final shape may take as long as 4-6 months. Close follow-up with your surgeon is important. The shape on the left will certainly improve. Good Luck!

How Long Does It Take for Your Beasts to Feel Natural. I Had my Op on 9th November 2011.

ts to Feel Natural.  I Had my Op on 9th November 2011.

A: Normal Post-op Course...

Most patients begin to feel the breast soften and feel more "natural" after about 3-4 weeks. However, the breasts continue to slowly improve as the tissues relax and the shape improves. By 6 months the process is pretty well complete.
