I have a hematoma in my cheek about 2 quarters long and it's been there for 4 months. It's went down like 70% but is still prominent compared to the other cheek and firm. How can this be treated and should I go to a dermatologist or a facial plastic surgeon for best results?
i am now 5 weeks after my operation and have had a 2nd opinion from my doctor regarding lump on side of neck ,, he says its a hematoma, and will go away by itself. the first doctor i seen says it was (just the healing process) but will gradually go away by itself .. is this possible ?? the lump is not hot now but a little uncomfortable ,,, my jawline has really improved with the lift . i had operation done in prague so cant go and see my surgeon although have emailed and they say i look fine xx
I returned to the dr, he drained the blood, told me it would be reabsorbed, it again swelled up, a week later visited a dr closer, he drained the blood with a syringe again, also mentioned that he was worried a bit of scar tissue is building up, I asked if I should do anything, he said press and massage it several times a day. the hematoma is again filling up. I am starting to worry as this is 4 weeks later, any advice is welcome
4 weeks ago I had mid & lower face lift & neck lift & upper & lower bleph. I am pleased so far, however, I have a squishy swelling under my chin. I had a hematoma the day after my surgery & this was treated in theatre under general anaesthetic. I am concerned that I may have a seroma, but also wondered if it could just be swelling. If its a seroma can it be re-absorbed or will it need aspirating?
I just had a face / neck lift 1 month ago. I have a hematoma in my neck and lumps, bumps, and raised rake marks on both sides of my face and neck. I'm just wondering if this is normal and if it would benifit me to buy a handheld ultasound massage unit for gentle massage to promote faster healing. Thank you
I had a lower facelift and necklift almost 2 weeks ago. The day after surgery I had a hematoma that had to be evacuated. Now I have a seroma on my left cheek. My surgeon has drained it 3 times this second week post OP. He has me wearing a compression garment. it was drained yesterday. It looks better after its drained, but comes back. I'm going back again in 2 days Im very scared. How many times am I going to have to have this done before it goes away ?
After one day of my facelift surgery I had on my left side hematoma and the doctor had to open it surgically, prescribed steroids for one month and as told , because of the bleeding and trauma my lip and nose movement will be limited and it may take 2 weeks until now I see no improvement at all I am so worried
Hi! I had dpfl 6 months ago and I still have lump/indent, hardness along the internal smas to deep layer entry site (from cheek to jaw).I did had a hematoma but evacuated.i also have some tether lumps on my neck coz I had a seroma on my neck at thirdweek.Went back to my doctor and he injected 5fu and suggested massage. I used more force last night and heard popping along the tightness. I do feeling softer afterwards tho. Am I doing any harm to the internal sutures or just scar tissue releasing.
I had fl, nl & platysmaplasty 3.5 months ago. Had hematoma in neck which ps said didn't need treatment (other than massage after 3 wks) & would resolve by itself. No timescale given. Neck was swollen with hard lumps. Lumps have since softened, but neck still looks & feels horrible. Swelling comes & goes, sometimes firm, sometimes soft & flabby, with double-chin. Sometimes really tender. Are the blood clots still there? What is the swelling? Is it inflamed? Will there be internal scar tissue?
I had a face and neck like lift 10 days ago. I developed severe swelling especially on the right side of my face. On day 3, the area started to get darker in color and now it feels like there is fluid underneath that darker area. I don't have any other bruising left other than in this area which doesn't seem to improve. Could this be a hematoma? How serious/urgent is this? My PS's office is closed today. Can this wait til tomorrow or am I risking skin damage by waiting?
