Worth It
Spent: $1,900 in Korea
I never thought of getting double eyelid surgery until I developed a fold on only one eye. It was very annoying. I decided to get the surgery done in Korea since that is where they have the most experience. I just wanted a natural looking fold that was slightly bigger than what I had in my left...

I am a 36 year old Asian female. Last June 2007, I had a blepharo to have double eyelids. However, my left upper eyelid became too hollow. I had a second bleph in March 2009 to correct this. The same doctor removed scar tissue. This did not work.
Nobody in Manila seems to be competent enough...

Asian eyelid surgery: was it worth it?
Asian Eyelid Surgery Information
- Nearly 50% of Asians are born with eyes that have "single eyelids," in which case there is no crease that forms in the top lids when the eyes are open
- Some also have extra skin and fat, which creates a hooded look
- Double eyelid surgery or Asian blepharoplasty creates a natural crease in the eyelid that appears when the eyes are open, but not when they are closed
- If you already have a fold (crease), and if you are happy with its position and shape, you may be a candidate for a classic blepharoplasty
