CoolLipo is a body shaping and skin tightening cosmetic procedure that uses a laser-tipped tube that works under the skin to break-up fat cells.  A similar technology is sold under the name Smart lipo.  Even though CoolLipo is marketed as an alternative to liposuction surgery, Laser liposuction is often used with tumescent liposuction, which means the areas with excess fat are injected with a large amount of anesthetic before liposuction is performed. Recovery time from CoolLipo is promoted as being quicker and easier, since the heat from the laser seals blood vessels while dissolving fat cells.
