I had noticed significant sagging of the upper eyelid, which had always sat very low, to the point it was actually interferring with my vision. My upper eyelid, particularly the left eye, would sit on my eyelashes and I would have to raise my eyebrow up in order to focus properly! I also had... more »

I went to Dr Mayer 10 years ago for a facelift and brow lift and was absolutely thrilled with the results. I have urged anyone wanting surgery to go to him rather than any other surgeon! He is very thorough in his explanations of what can and cannot be done, not a marketeer like many. Dr... more »

I did it to avoid looking depressed, serious and like some of my relatives who at 80 have deep dark circles under their eyes. It is worth getting rid of a inherited feature I have had all my life and to not have it anymore in addition to smoother even-toned skin(CO2 laser) and a slightly lifted... more »

Brow lift: was it worth it?

Brow Lift Information

  • A brow lift, also called a forehead lift, requires a small incisions in your forehead which is designed to correct or improve skin wrinkling, as well as loss of tone and sagging of the eyebrows that often occurs as part of the aging process.
  • The brow lifting procedure may also help to smooth horizontal expression lines in the forehead and vertical frown lines between the eyebrows.
  • An endoscopic browlift is an operation performed through two small cuts in the hairline. This gives the plastic surgeon access to place endoscopes and micro-instruments under the forehead skin, to release muscles that cause furrows between the brows, and lift sagging brows.
  • The traditional way of performing brow lift plastic surgery is with an incision from one ear to the other over the top of the head. This is associated with a big scar and hair loss. Most patients are candidates for endoscopic brow lifts, but some who have excessively dropped brows and forehead require an open approach.
