After tummy tuck surgery, most patients are able to drive and get back to daily routine activities within about ten days.
However, in terms of working out, I would recommend that you hold off on your fitness routines or exercise routines for a good five weeks after surgery. No heavy lifting or strenuous activity for five weeks.
Why? Well, we need to give time for your incisions to heal. We don't want to increase your risks for bleeding, or worse, tear your incision open by working out too soon.
After about five weeks, everything's pretty much healed up, and we generally recommend resuming your exercise routine gradually in a step-wise fashion, resume activity as tolerated.
