As you might imagine, anxiety is a common problem when surgery is coming up and especially the morning of surgery. It is much easier than you think. The anesthesiologist will give you either an oral medication to make you feel more comfortable, or they may start the IV first and then give you the medicine intravenously. But it's one little shot, it's a little bit of numbing medicine. You'll hardly feel it and after that, it goes so much easier than you could even imagine. So there's nothing to be frightened of.
