Well, the best way to prepare for surgery is to plan ahead. I think ladies do pretty well at this, in general, but you need to make sure you have plenty of time to rest. You can't be very active. You need to make sure you’re off all of the medicines that might caused increased bleeding like aspirin or high doses of vitamin E. For moms, if you have children, just make sure you plan plenty of help with your child’s care because you're not going to feel like being really active with the kids for about five to seven days, at least.
