Revision rhinoplasties require more planning. They may require use of materials that are outside the normal field of the nose, either the ear or the rib in order to achieve an appropriate result. Deformities due to scar, deformities due to extrusion of prior plastic-based products that may have been put for augmentation of the nose or tip, perhaps patients that have had substance trauma after a previous nasal surgery, inappropriately performed nasal surgery.
