Male Voice: Liposuction is a very safe procedure. But as with anything in plastic surgery, we need to review your past medical history, get an idea of your overall health status to make sure you are a good candidate for the surgery. Most liposuction procedures can be safely performed in an outpatient setting where you go home the same day. So if you have the surgery in the morning, you're home in time for lunch. However, if we're going to be doing large volume liposuction or if there are some health concerns we need to address, we may recommend an overnight stay. Liposuctioning is a very safe surgery but, of course, all surgeries have certain risks. Some of the risks from liposuction include contra irregularities, bruising or bleeding, fluid collection, and sensory changes in the area of treatment.
