And if the skin doesn't turn purple, it means is not working and I won't see results? I have been going for Vbeam sessions for the past 4 years, for a pws mark, and sometimes the purple dots don't appear. From what I've noticed, if they don't appear it means the laser didn't work and I won't see results. I feel like my doctor is trying to keep me longer as a patient, by doing this. So, my question is, is purpura a sure guarantee that the laser works? Thank you
Hello, I had vbeam laser with purpuric settings for the third time and i have spots left after the bruising, this has never happend before. It's been two months and they don't seem to be going away. I've already tried arnica cream 3 weeks after my treatment but i don't think it's doing anything anymore. I don't know what happend, they used the same settings. I think maybe one day i got sun exposure without protection, should i use hydroquinone or something else?
I have rosacea on my cheeks and I'm interested on doing a vbeam treatment with purpuric settings (meaning that I will bruise after the treatment). If the doctor hits all the cheek with the laser but not all bruises (based of pictures I won't have a huge bruise, I will have little ones) will that means that he only shot the laser where the bruises are? Will only the little area that has a bruise be treated or also the sorrounding area will be less red? I don't really understand how bruises work..
I've had several sessions of V Beam at purpuric levels on my chest and arms (pictures included) over the years (usually 2-3 times/year). It's made an improvement in the overall redness of my skin, especially on my chest. But some time after I always end up reddish/blotchy/splotchy again - it's more visible when I get hot, like when exercising. Is it time to try a laser other than V Beam that would be better to rid of this? Or different settings? Or is this just the way it is? Thank you.
Hi, I've had 3 sub purpuric vbeam treatments so far for the nose. My dr doesn't want to do purpuric because I have brown Indian skin. He has so far used 7mm spot and 6 ms pulse width and has gradually increased the energy (currently at 10.25j). I have definitely seen improvement but there are some stubborn superficial vessels still there. I'm interested to get expert views on the settings my dr has used so far and suggestions on getting rid of the remaining vessels.
I have some redness and dilated capillaries on my nose. I had an initial non purpuric vbeam done 2 weeks ago (note I am Indian hence have light brown skin). The first week post treatment were very good with redness reduced to an impressive extent. However by 2 weeks after the treatment some of the redness has come back. Is this normal? Will they eventually go completely after successive treatments? Thanks.
