Hello, I am close to 2 months post op from my tummy tuck. Unfortunately my healing was compromised due to the tissue becoming necrotic shortly after surgery and my incision dehised causing a gaping wound. I did not get good feedback on the issue from the surgeons office and I am currently being seen by a wound care specialist. My healing has been going well but I am concerned on the cosmetic aspect once it is healed. Will I need or be a candidate for scar revision?
8 weeks post post op midline scar revision, with ventral hernia closure , right flank lipoma removal and lower scar revision with abdominal flap closure, umbilical float. It was supposed to be a Fleur de Lis, but surgeon did not do it. Tension sutures tore with a new umbilical hernia. Now I have to go back under. I still have quite a bit of vertical loose skin above and around/ below my umbilicus. Can a vertical incision help with the remaining loose skin? Okay with full vertical scar.
I had extended tt w/ flank Lipo 7w ago. I have indentation right above my incision on my Left side. Will this blend away on its own ?Scar on back right side incision higher then left. . When I try on the swimsuit we used for Preop marking , the incision is 1 in outside of the top of the swimsuit for about 2 in long. I am using Silagen 2x daily . Can a revision correct this and if so is this an simple correction done in the office under local anesthetic? If not what are my options
I had a tummy tuck 18 months ago and the upper abdomen was still lose. My surgeon was reluctant to do anything and sent me for a second opinion . The second surgeon thought the area could be improved. So my surgeon operated and it looks worst. I cannot leave it like this , but where do I go to put it right ? I live in Derbyshire UK
I had my TT on 10/14/11/ with MR and Lipo. I contracted MRSA and Staph shortly after my TT and now have a pocket that will not heal. It continues to fill with infection and fluid. I've had 4 drains now and if will not seal. So, I have changed surgeons and have been told that I will have to have a revision. I won't have muscle repair this time, so can I expect such a difficult recovery? I will have stretched skin removed and lipo on upper stomach. Will it cost as much as the original?
