Three months post op I thought I would be a little bit smaller by now. Maybe I am still a little bit swollen.

It looks good! How do you feel now?

Well to be honest, I thought that everything would have been completley tucked in and not visible beyond my outer labia, but it's a million times better than before and I definitely don't regret getting it done.

I think part of the problem is that I just have no outer lips. I was reading that you can get injections to fill them and maybe I will try that in a few months.

Sad moment in recovery

kitkat0027
Last night I kind of had a mini meltdown :( I couldn't sleep at all, was so itchy and uncomfortable and in pain. I really hope it gets better. The surgery wasn't bad at all but the recovery is pretty awful. I don't understand how some people are normal after a week. I am still very very swollen and still walking around like a penguin. Shaving is so difficult, but if you don't shave, you get itchy :( it also sucks that my surgeon is in another province because they don't perform labiaplasty in the province that I live in. Than God I have the option to work at home.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I feel pretty sad today but I'm not sure if it's because I'm about to get my period or not

I know how you feel. I was thinking the same thing about the recovery. It's not as easy as it seems. I feel stinging a times and itchiness. One of my stitches pulled apart and it looks like I have a crater inside my labia. It's weird. I may go have it looked at by the surgeon. Not sure if it will heal over or what. I was frustrated yest and upset about the healing process. I'm usually pretty active and now I feel like I'm going to gain all this weight too. Trying to eat healthy and stay positive. I'm with you that the healing is slower than expected. For the itchiness did you try Benadryl at night. It causes drowsiness and can help with the itch. I'm still putting the antibiotic cream on. Maybe you have a yeast infection? Hope not... Take care! Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry, you're feeling down right now, recovery is different for everyone — mine was super rough...and some people are back on their feet in no time. I'm so glad you can work from home, that's so helpful in a situation such as this. Remember, you're only 9 days post op, it takes time to heal...hang in there.
