Dr. Jeannie Chung is a True Professional in Her Field!
Dr. Jeannie Chung is a true professional in her field. Let me tell you why. I knew I wanted to have eyelid surgery because my upper eyelids were droopy and I had many wrinkles and sags under my lower eyelids. It was bothering me for years so I finally started researching doctors. I read review after review of eyelid surgeons, some having done “thousands” of eyelid procedures. I took into account review scores, not only from Realself.com but many others. I then looked at patient testimonials, education and price. One note, during the research I learned that going with the lowest price is not beneficial to anyone looking for optimal results. It took me three months get an idea of who I was favoring to do the procedure. It came down to three surgeons, all had great reviews and credentials. Now it was time to meet them…
My first visit was with Dr. Jeannie Chung. The moment I walked in I felt at ease. The staff was fantastic and spent a lot of time with me going over the procedure, logistics and price. I then met with Dr. Chung to go over my concerns. She went over my options and spent time with me giving me details about the procedure (agreed about Upper and Lower eyelid surgery) and results. I left the office with a notebook of great information and no pressure to commit.
My second visit was with a Dr. with many favorable reviews. After just 10 minutes, upper eyelid surgery was recommended. I asked why not lower eyelid surgery and the doctor said that he didn’t think it was needed. He then wanted to start taking pictures for the before and after photos and I said I wasn’t comfortable with this as I haven’t made a decision yet. I left the office wondering why he didn’t listen to my concerns and that he automatically thought I was a patient of his after only a 10 minute visit…
My third visit was with another Dr. who had was held high in the field of cosmetic surgery. As I entered the office I was given a clip board with 10 pages of paper. I was ask to read them and to start signing them. After 5 minutes of reading these I told the receptionist that I wasn’t there to start the process but only to meet and consult with the doctor. They did not like this and started to get upset with me. I then told them that I was not signing anything that day. They finally agreed and I met the doctor. He said he was going to many great things to my face and to not worry, I’ll look great. I wasn’t feeling good about this. When he left the receptionist asked me to sign the sheet of paper and to kindly give a deposit. I said no. As I was leaving I spoke to the lead receptionist about the amount of pressure they put on me. They apologized of course. I then got calls from them for the next two weeks offering discounts.
As you can guess I scheduled the procedure with Dr. Jeannie Chung. I was excited. It took time and knowledge to make my decision. I wanted to get this done and I knew I was getting this done by one of the best cosmetic surgeons in the field. The hospital staff at Salem hospital was fantastic. I woke up as planned and then went home and iced. I heard from the hospital staff before I left the hospital that Dr. Chung was a perfectionist. As I look at my results I totally agree.
As you can see every doctor is different and luckily I took the time to do my research. I made a great choice choosing Dr. Chung (and her staff). There was no pressure, ever. If you want honesty, professionalism, compassion and incredible results from a doctor, then Dr. Chung is your surgeon. One of my friends also had a procedure done with Dr. Chung and is amazed by the results. Results speak on their own… Thank you Dr. Chung!
