4 months post filler. Volbella has earned clout among cosmetic derms as a go-to lip solution, thanks to its natural-looking results. But it's rapidly becoming a go-to for eliminating under-eye bags as well, due to a signature composition that sets it apart from other fillers. The Vycross technology allows the filler to last longer and give a smoother look. Volbella also does not absorb water but for me it didn’t last long. The results were beautiful for about four weeks and slowly I’m going back to normal. I’m getting it again next week and will keep you posted.

After a consultation determining if I was a good candidate, I scheduled an appointment at Cultura in Washington , DC.

My PA was very knowledgeable but I wish she gave me a choice of fillers and explained the differences. Maybe I should have pushed for Restylane but this was my first time.

Initially, the left eye responding well. My right eye needed a lot more product. The pain was minimal but I did feel a tingle in my lip and she said the face has many nerves that connect. My finished results were great the first day but 3 days later the lines seem more pronounced again.

Maybe, I need more. Any thoughts?

I feel your pain, i really do. I too had Volbella for my tear troughs. It was a terrible mistake and made me look worse. It does go away, eventually. Time heals.

I had it done in June 2016. It left an ugly amd unnatural crescent dent that appeared when I smiled across my cheek (just below my under eye bags).

I tried to have it dissolved (5 times!) but the crescent dent would not go away. Mane people get it dossolved successfully. I was unlucky, and it seemed that hyalase dissolved some of my tissues.

If I ate anything salty or flavoursome, lumps would appear around the dents/crescent and it could take days for it to disappear... making the crescent dent look even more prominant. Up until 6 mths ago, it seemed to stop reacting to salty or flavoursome food.

The dents always appeared when i smiled, up until only recently.

I tried massaging the area, warm compresses, all manors of creams and serums, light skin laser rejuvenation, hyalase, nothing worked.

For 2 years and 8 months, i lived with this unnatural crescent and dent.

Then 1 week ago, i realised the crescent dent had gone.

I compiled a series of photos over the last 2yrs 8mths to review the crescent. It was really bad even 1 year ago, but I could see a gradual improvement over the last 12 months.

The crescent/dent seemed to have disappeared at an accelerated rate over the last 3 months and I think it could be due to my new skincare routine and treatments. This is not scientific and it could be coincidental. Sharing with you in case it might help you. The following serums/creams were added to my skincare routine in the last 3 months. I am not sure which one helped most.

1. Light carbon based laser skin rejuv (treatment only lasted 2 mins of lasering and skin looked great immediately afterwards, no redness) - i did this 4 weeks ago.
2. Elizabeth arden prevage anti agring + repair eye serum (this was added 3weeks ago to my routine, and it seemed that the disappearance of my crescent accelerated within the last few weeks).
3. Eucerin hyalauron filler eye cream
4. Eucerin hyalauron concentrated filler (serum)
5. Eucerin hyalauron treatment overnight filler (serum)

Hope it goes away soon for you.

Yes, I had the same issues. Thank you for sharing your routine. I will look these up and try them.

Thank you. Are you going to try fillers again? If so, which option?
