Please give me some insight. I went in to treat one area, although I need two (both sides) but since you need 3 sessions on both sides to see real results I decided to start with one to see how I respond. Cultura’s staff was quick, kind, factual and economical. The procedure itself is around 45 minutes per area. The 5 minute massage is very painful and the initial suction burns for the first 5 minutes before you go numb. Be prepared for a numb chin for about a month. Research shows that as much as 25% of your unwanted fat can be removed in a single CoolSculpting session. Stay tuned for my two month post pictures in 2/1/2019. Updated on 16 Apr 2019: I’m not sure I see a difference but attached is the photo. I’ve had no pain or long lasting issues. I’m aware, they recommend at least 3 sessions but that’s the same price as chin liposuction. Updated on 16 Apr 2019: Just wondering if anyone can see a difference? I received one session in the middle of my chin. I believe your supposed to get one on each side of your chin. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$&$&&&
After a consultation determining if I was a good candidate, I scheduled an appointment at Cultura in Washington , DC. My PA was very knowledgeable but I wish she gave me a choice of fillers and explained the differences. Maybe I should have pushed for Restylane but this was my first time. Initially, the left eye responding well. My right eye needed a lot more product. The pain was minimal but I did feel a tingle in my lip and she said the face has many nerves that connect. My finished results were great the first day but 3 days later the lines seem more pronounced again. Maybe, I need more. Any thoughts? Updated on 25 Apr 2019: 4 months post filler. Volbella has earned clout among cosmetic derms as a go-to lip solution, thanks to its natural-looking results. But it's rapidly becoming a go-to for eliminating under-eye bags as well, due to a signature composition that sets it apart from other fillers. The Vycross technology allows the filler to last longer and give a smoother look. Volbella also does not absorb water but for me it didn’t last long. The results were beautiful for about four weeks and slowly I’m going back to normal. I’m getting it again next week and will keep you posted.
I had been a patron of Cultura for several years, at least since 2014. After not frequenting Cultura for a few years on account of the pandemic, at the end of 2022 I sought out Cultura for laser hair removal. My assessment based upon this recent experience is now that Cultura has branched out into plastic surgery, it is sacrifices service to its dermatology clientele. If that is not the case, then it is more personal and targeted, as Cultura neither values me as a client, nor sees me as human being deserving of respect and consideration. When I re-contacted Cultura in the fall, I had wanted to purchase a 6-session package which was on special, but was advised that I only needed 4 sessions. After the first session, Sally Battle recommended I make my next appointment 4 weeks out, which does not take into account the full 3-month anagen-catagen-telogen cycle. All of the sessions felt rushed, like Sally had better things to do. I was never given an opportunity to inspect the work with a hand-held mirror before ending the session. As a result, I walked out on at least two occasions partially untreated. For the last appointment of the package, I arrived promptly, and waited over 10 minutes past the appointment time, which was the height of disrespect because had I been 10 minutes late for the appointment, Cultura would have levied consequences. After waiting, an assistant came in and explained Sally got pulled into another meeting, which was apparently more important than the appointment I had scheduled two months prior. My choice was either to wait ANOTHER 15 minutes, or consent to being treated by Mary Agnes, who I had never seen before. Since it was apparent that Sally was passing off a lower priority client so that she could attend to a higher priority one, I accepted the offer to be treated by Mary Agnes. Mary Agnes came in without my file or any treatment notes, which put me in the awkward position of trying to verbally explain my treatment plan to her. In response, Mary Agnes basically argued with me about what I said, and how it was not what she was accustomed to. At this point I changed my mind and stated that I would wait the 15 minutes to see Sally. Upon perhaps realizing that she could not just "wing it" for the laser hair removal appointment, Mary Agnes then pulled out her glasses and put them on in a show of seriousness, as if the glasses would help her understand the situation better, despite the fact my treatment notes were no where to be found. I repeated that I would wait to see Sally, at which time Mary Agnes left. Shortly after, Sally appeared, perhaps leaving the consultation, in order to perform the laser hair removal treatment. Again it felt rushed and strained, because we were both off schedule, I had been kept waiting, and perhaps because Sally was preoccupied with getting back to more important matters. At the end of the session, while I was walking out, Sally advised I wait as long as possible before making another appointment. It seemed to me she was relieved that the 4-session package was complete. After the thousands of dollars I have spent at Cultura over the years, apparently all I get in return for my loyalty is contempt. Apparently I am not important, powerful, famous, rich or vain enough to receive quality treatment. Given the protracted nature of my treatment, it would be great if Cultura would honor a lifetime treatment plan for touch ups, as apparently Cultura does not consider me worth treating, even as a client paying good money.
