Great Doctor with Great Bedside Manners!!!

WORTH IT
I had a great experience with Dr. Chaboki. I was looking to get my ears pushed back for a few years now but I never really pulled the trigger. I was either unhappy with patient results or Doctors were quoting exorbitant prices that just didn't make sense. After years of research an looking around, I found Dr. Chaboki. I went in for a consult in the DC office in the winter 2016 and everything went well but I just couldn't find time to do it. I went back for another consult in September/October of 2017 and this time I booked my date for December 20th, 2017. The doctor explained everything to me in detail and told me exactly what the plan was. I had some damage to my right ear from sports. He told me he would be able to fix it but there might not be exact symmetry to the left ear. He also told me that the left and right ear are never perfectly symmetrical so it wouldn't look odd.
Surgery day:
I get to the center at 8 am with my father. I get in the chair, they (meaning the doctor and his nurse) recline the chair and then cover my eyes and face. Local anesthesia is given. Not really PAINFUL; just a little discomfort but nothing to worry about. They then begin to work on my left ear first and the my right ear. I was awake the whole time and conversing. It is a surreal feeling to know someone is cutting your ears but you don't feel anything. Anyway, the surgery lasted abut 2 hours and everything went smoothly. The right ear that was damaged ended up causing do issues and he was able to do exactly when we discussed. I was then cleaned up and my head was wrapped. The ears felt numb because the anesthesia was still in effect. I was out of the building by 11 am. My father drove me to the pharmacy to pick up the pain meds and then took me home.
Recovery:
When I got home, the anesthesia began wear off and I was in pain. It was more of a throbbing pain. I took a perc and went to bed. I took 3 percs a day and slept all day for the first 3 days. I had to sleep on the back of my head which sucked because I sleep on my side. I used an airplane neck pillow for comfort. By the 4th day, the pain had subsided tremendously and I only took 1 perc. 5th day, no more percs and i just dealt with the mild discomfort or took some otc pain reliever (I think I only took twice). After that it was just the wait and see game and follow the doctors cleaning instructions.
I went back to him the next day after surgery to remove the bandages and then a week later, 2 weeks later and then a month out. I havn't gone for my 6 month follow up yet but will be going next week.
The ears definitely take some time to heal and get the final result. My ears were swollen and numb for maybe 2 or 3 months. I now have all feeling in my ears again and the swelling has gone down. They look really great and I am really happy with the results. I may want to tweak the helix of my right ear a bit but nothing might be able to be done because that was the ear that was damaged.
I hope this helps anyone that is looking to get this procedure done and if you have any further questions, feel free to message me.
