Overall rating

I can not empathize enough the dedication and professionalism that Dr.V and his staff (Megan & Beryl) have shown me throughout my journey. While I certainly had a few common post-op bumps along the way, my results speak to Dr. V’s attention to detail as a skilled surgeon and “artist”. In addition to his top notch surgical expertise, his general medical background served me well when he was able to identify a potentially dangerous infection that needed hospitalization two weeks post-op. As a nurse with over 20 years experience, I went into my “mommy makeover” ( minus the kids:-) ) surgery fully aware of all the risks associated with it. I knew that recovery would be especially tough the first few days and developing an infection would be scary. I also knew that I would follow any advice and restrictions that Dr. V gave me—-he came highly recommended to me by a peer and fellow surgeon so I trusted him completely. I went in for my surgery a few days before Christmas 2017. As anticipated, the first three days were very painful but I followed Dr. Vs instructions and was assisted by my nurse friends and fiancée as I recovered. I received calls from both Dr. V and Beryl to check on me and Dr. V even opened his office to see me the Saturday before Christmas. I was always encouraged to ask questions and call anytime. Over these last four months, I have been to the office many times for follow-up appointments when an area on my incision didn’t look quite right or my dissolvable sutures began to “spit”. Each time, Beryl and Megan were accommodating to find me a time that worked in my schedule. Dr. V was also there to be my “therapist” when I would discouraged that I wasn’t healing overnight. Sooooo...... here are the takeaways I would give as advice to anyone contemplating this procedure: •Dr. V is one of the most skilled and knowledgeable plastic surgeons in the region ( and beyond) and his bedside manner should be considered world class •The supporting cast in the office (Megan and Beryl) are compassionate, organized, attentive, and professional •Know the risks headed in but be confident any set back will be minor and handled • DO NOT underestimate how much recovery time is needed to bounce completely back— be patient! • Above all, trust the advice and rules that Dr. V gives you and follow them! Good Luck!
