WORTH IT$5,600
I was unaware that my first pair of implant were migrating to my underarms until i went for a consultation for why after almost 3 years of having implants i still had zero cleavage. Came to find out that not wearing underwire bras can cause implant pockets to continue to stretch. Therefore Colgrove decided i get a pocket revision and i decided to go bigger. Before any surgery i was a flat 34a. I went with 375cc gummy bear and became a 36d/34dd. After my revision i went with 650cc high profile and i am now a 34ddd.

Thank you for sharing. How was the drains for the few days and when they pull them out? This is my main concern.

To be completely honest I absolutely hated the drains. My first day i was really drowsy so my arms kept tugging on them making where they were inserted extremely sore and i would get my arms caught in them when i slept or my dog would tug on them or theyd fall off my shirt when im walkin and the tug was pretty painful. Also the take out process i didnt like either. They give you numbing shots but it still hurts coming out and they pull really hard to get them out. When i got my second tube taken out i decided to do light chores later that day and the wound reopened and my clothes were covered in blood and juicy slimy stuff it completely soaked through the maxi pad i had to keep in my bra. I ended up on bed rest for a month because of the leaking. My doctor said it was okay because it just meant the tube didn't suck out all of my fluid and not to worry and btw after they remove the tubes they dont sew you up so its literally an open hole that looks like pink meat showing under ur breast. Luckily they close like 2 days later and looks like there was nothing ever there. I hope this doesnt scare you im just trying to be really honest about my experience.

Thank you so much for replying. The removal is one of my biggest fears. Can you describe what it felt like coming out? Sharp pain? Did it last for a while. I wish i could find a good doctor like this one who doesn't use drains.

Well my first B.A i didnt have drains. Drains arent a necessary part of the surgery. I was having my implants exchanged for bigger ones so there was a little bit of capsule and bleeding therefore i had drains. 9xs out of 10 you wont have any because you shouldnt have any excess material to remove if its ur first time. The removal felt like a carpet burn and a charlie horse mixed. I really dont know a good way to explain the pain it was just really achy during the pulling and you could feel the tube which is as thick as a pinky finger being pulled out. But dont worry it took 30 seconds each and the pain stops once the tube is out u really just have to squeeze something n ur hands and focus on breathing or it will just be a horrible 30 seconds. But i think because the tubes come out 3 days to a week after surgery that thats why the pain is so bad because your breast will still be aching and then you have someone pulling a thick tube out of an already achy breast which is just a double negative in my books. I think maybe if you do get tubes to take a motrin an hour before your doctors office so that theres minimal aching.

Hey I was wondering when you did you breast Over did it require a bigger incision cut ?

August 3, 2017
No i believe he just cut over the scar and replaced the implant and repaired the pocket at the same time. He also cut off the skin where the old scar was and stitched me up so i wouldnt have a big scar and it would look like it was my first augmentation

Because I'm looking into getting my implants revised as well . I have 375cc but I see no difference at all . It doesn't even look like I got my breast done . I'm so no satisfied at all and it's only been a month since I've gotten them done . I requested I 420cc but only gave me 375 because he said he didn't think it would look right and absolutely hate them .

Honestly wait 6 more months for u to fully drop and fluff. One month ur skin hasnt even begun to stretch and ur implant hasnt settled. If 6 months later and u still arent satisfied id def say go for it with getting a bigger size. Most doctors require u wait 18 months before your revision

Im officially 1 year post off
Nothing much has changed. My bra side is still a 34ddd and they are completely squishy and bouncy. Ive started my scar treatments (included in surgery amount) which turns keiloid scars flat and helps with fading. Unfortunately i havent taken any pics because its more of an inperson difference u can feel and not see but my scars are COMPLETELY flat.

Did you ever get a reason for why they migrated towards the outside?

August 7, 2018
Yes my first surgeon made my pocket too large. I started flat chested and apparently its a possibility drs can make ur pocket too big since theres no breast tissue they pretty much have to create a pocket for the implant to sit in.

They came out great!
I am looking at him to do my pocket repair and implant exchange!
Was the price discounted because he did your previous breast augmentation?

No the price was discounted because i wanted to go bigger along with my revision and he offered a fall sale for 40% off all implants. So i ended up saving almost $6000. The implants i chose were $8000 and some change and i paid $4000 then the revision was 3500 but i paid $1600. Another surgeon did my first set of implants i didnt go back to him because he was rude to me because i wasnt happy a year later that it how i ended up going to colgrove

Ah okay!
I am in the same situation, hopefully he still has a discount going on!

Glad your revision went well and that you're loving your results! Is it a bit more difficult finding cute bras with your larger size? I have heard a few women mention this. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your helpful pictures and story with us on RealSelf!
Oh that's great to know...thank you for the tip!
Yea, that's what I have heard. Sometimes the prettier bras are harder to find in larger sizes. Glad you're having luck and thanks again for the helpful tips!
